Our History

In 1874 a vision of Reverend Elisha Perry became a reality. At a then bush harbor which later became known as Edwards’ Seine Beach, a church surrounded by white oaks and spring of water nearby was founded, thereby becoming White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church. 

The White Oak Spring Baptist Church is based on efforts to reach, teach and empower others to share the love that Christ did show to all people. The ministry’s goal is to reach out to people who come in contact with this church and outside the church with the love of God as revealed to us by Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that ministry is about preparing people to lead the cause of Christ, and apply Christianity to every aspect of life.

Our Mission

The mission of the White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church is to empower believers and work toward effective ministry by focusing on faith, learning, and becoming productive people within our society by promoting education, spiritual growth, and a personal relationship with God.
